Carols around the Campfire brings in donations for local community

Bringing the community closer together and spreading some Christmas magic to those less fortunate.

This December we got together for our annual carol service, but this year it was a little different. Over 100 young people and volunteers went down to 1st Norbreck Scout Headquarters on Kelvin Road to gather around the campfire to sing some classic Christmas songs. All whilst donating tins, dried food, toys and much more for those who need it this Christmas.

Matt Hornby, our District Commissioner, said “a massive thanks from me to each and everyone who came. We hope you enjoyed it. Big thanks to the volunteers who made it happen”.

These donations from the event have been split 50/50 with the Salvation Army and Holy Cross. Thank you to everyone who came down, sang, had fun and donated for your generosity, making people’s lives that little bit easier this Christmas.
