Blackpool Scouts are looking to expand our media team so we can share our adventures to the widest audience via our websites, social media and local press.

Assistant Section Leaders

We’re looking for someone who can encourage our young people to take that leap, make that jump, get up and carry on regardless. From map reading to crate stacking it’s all about having the confidence to give it a go.

Good with money? - Group Treasurers

Do you have a good head for numbers without losing sight of the big picture? If so, we could use your talents to help transform the lives of young people in your area. You will help manage and monitor the financial activities of a Group, acting as Treasurer. You will prepare and present financial reports and accounts and while supporting budgets and financial planning process in accordance with legal regulations.

Group Executive Committee Members

Every Scout Group requires trustees, which form the Group Executive Committee. This committee oversees the administration of the Group. Most Group Executives meet three or four times a year, but effective members will volunteer for tasks in between the meetings, thus ensuring the smooth running of the Scout Group and maximising its potential for a hugely positive impact on its young members.

Explorer Scout Leaders

Explorer leaders are passionate about giving young people a voice. They are enablers: supporting young people to pursue their interests and push their boundaries. When looking for adult volunteers to join the section, think about those in your community who are passionate about working with young people.
