Blackpool Scouts are looking to expand our media team so we can share our adventures to the widest audience via our websites, social media and local press.
The Blackpool Scouts Media & Communications Team are responsible for supporting communications within the District, raising the profile of scouting locally – and for supporting our digital tools and resources.
Membership is ideal for those who already possess skills or experience – or who want to get involved with: web design and management, social media, photography and videography, video editing, writing press releases and other copy writing (e.g. the District newsletter), managing district IT infrastructure etc. You’ll occasionally be asked to work to some tight deadlines, but the end result is well worth it.
The roles within the media team are available to Explorers, Network and Adults. Joining the media team will not only look good on your CV but can be used to complete badgework or awards. We have many roles available so if you are a wiz on the computer, with a camera or on social media please get in touch.
