Poetry Competition

ENTRIES NOW CLOSED

World Poetry Day is coming up on Sunday 21st March and we’re asking you, our young people, to get creative, use your imagination and write your own poem with the chance of winning.

It doesn’t need to be too long, and can be on whatever subject you want. Whether that be football, the pandemic, or even Scouts. We’re proud to say that local author, Dan Worsley, will be judging the competition. From all the entries, we’ll decide a shortlist and Dan will decide the winner.

On Sunday 21st March, World Poetry Day, at 12pm, we will announce the winner on our social media. Keep an eye out and we wish you good luck!

How to enter

To enter the competition, simply write your poem, either in a word document, on paper, video it or however you want to present your poem. Then you need to email it to adc.activities@blackpoolscouts.org.uk with your full name, Scout Group name and section (for example, Ben, 37th Blackpool Scouts).

Entries close on Thursday 18th March and only open to members of Blackpool Scouts aged 6-18.

Good luck!
