Groundwork will be running several tree planting events across Blackpool during the coming winter months, running from October through to the following March 2022.
They will supply the equipment required and would love the participation of as many Scout Groups across Blackpool as possible. Incoporating some educational parts to the session, relating to tree ID, tree physiology, in addition to getting Scouts out planting trees.
There will be several planting sites across Blackpool, which are being specified by the council under the Green Recovery Challenge Fund, and this is a scheme that we really want to grow into future planting seasons, as Blackpool tree coverage is only around 4%, which we aim to improve!
